Carta de Toussaint Louverture, General en Jefe del Ejército de Santo Domingo, a Henri Christophe, Jefe de Brigada y Comandante de una columna del Ejército contra los rebeldes. Indicaba que la situación del país exigía el envío de gente de muy máxima confianza a Santo Domingo. Para ello, Toussaint expresaba que únicamente se fiaba de los generales Moyse, Dessalines y el propio Christophe. Finalmente, ordenaba a Christophe que ejecutara rápidamente las órdenes que le enviara, las cuales involucraban acciones con Dessalines y Brunet. Acorde al calendario republicano, la fecha es 23 floreal año 8.
