La primera de estas trata sobre la situación de las embarcaciones recién llegadas y la segunda contiene una copia de la carta del ciudadano La Garde y copia de una sentencia de un tribunal. Acorde al calendario republicano, la fecha es (día ilegible) germinal año 9.

Letter from Toussaint Louverture, General in Chief of the Army of Santo Domingo (illegible addressee) indicating that he had received two letters. The first of these deals with the situation of the recently arrived boats and the second contains a copy of the letter from Citizen La Garde and a copy of a court ruling. According to the republican calendar, the date is (illegible day) germinal year 9.
